Dr. Janesh N. Mohanan
Dr. Janesh N. Mohanan is an electrical and renewable-energy engineer with Sustainize Technologies. He holds a Ph.D. from NIT Calicut and an M.Sc. in Renewable Energy Engineering from Heriot-Watt University. His work spans solar, wind, hybrid systems and energy audits, over thirty-four years across industry, research and teaching.
He works on feasibility, design, and commissioning of solar PV, wind, pico-hydro, and hybrid plants, and on energy audits and green-building studies. His research is on diffuser-augmented wind turbines for low-speed wind, published in Energies and Energy Sources. He is a BEE-certified energy auditor and energy manager, a chartered engineer (electrical), and a trainer for NPTI, NIWE, ANERT, and EMC.
Education: B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering, Mahatma Gandhi University (1990); M.Sc. Renewable Energy Engineering, Heriot-Watt University (2013, distinction); Ph.D., National Institute of Technology Calicut (2022). Industrial years include distribution project work with Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, renewable-energy and energy-audit consultancy with KITCO, and teaching at NIT Calicut and M. Dasan Institute of Technology.
